As purveyors of the west coast rock and roll lifestyle, Pico Train measures
success by the friends they’ve made, not by the size of their van
or thickness of their wallets. Having sold over 10,000 CDs and given away
well over 3,000 pieces of Pico Train merchandise, it’s no wonder
their fans and friends continue to multiply. “It’s interesting
how things come together in this business” says guitarist Dusty
Hunt. “We run in to people at our shows that haven’t seen
us in years who tell us they found out about the show from asking somebody
where they got the Pico Train shirt they were wearing”.
 The
fans aren’t the only ones noticing Pico Train’s activity.
Los Angeles ABC Television affiliate aired an entire “Eye on L.A.”
segment on the band and their contribution to the local music scene. Bassist
Shane Hayes adds, “For a band like us just starting to make a big
splash in a huge commercial market, the ‘Eye on LA’ experience
has really reaffirmed our love for the city that’s helped define
who we are. It feels and looks like overnight success, but we know it
isn’t. Our goal now is to become part of the city’s lore and
to define generations to follow.”
