Next Cup Skateboarding Amateur Street
Series Competition May 30, 2004
Rules & Regulations
- Entry Fee $30.00 (cash only - web pre-registration is closed).
- Two Divisions - Open & 12 and under. OPEN to 40 riders. The event is open to locals, but priority will go to sponsored ams. Local skaters will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.
- Under 18 years old; must have parent present to sign release OR, a NOTARIZED release stating that said minor is authorized to participate at the Mobile Skatepark Series (MSS) AND that the event producers will not be held liable for any injuries incurred at the MSS
- Course will be open for competitors & pros only on contest day, Amateur contest hours are from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Finals for Open Division is from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
- Knee, elbow pads, and helmets required. Pants and long sleeves, will be regarded as concealing pads. Helmets have a minimum of a hard plastic shell (beanies and baseball caps are not okay) and must be buckled. MSS can provide pads & helmet for an additional $5.00.
- Riders will be put into heats of no more than 20 riders per heat. Each heat will have an exclusive practice session prior to starting.
- Riders will be given two (2), sixty (60) second runs. Best run scores count.
Scale 0-100, 5 judges. Judges scores will be averaged together. Scoring based
on subjective overall impression
- Top 10 riders will advance to finals. Finals will consist of two more runs same as qualifying.
- This contest is part of the Next Cup and is governed by its rules and policies. A current copy of which will be on site with the skate organizer/ announcer.
Prizes Open Division:
- 1st thru 3rd places will receive medals plus product TBA.
- 4th thru 10th places will receive product TBA.
Prizes 12 & Under Division:

Additional Prizing:

The top three riders from the open division will secure an automatic spot at the 2004 LG Amateur Championships in Los Angeles in September. The winner at the LG Championships will have a television feature produced about him and will receive an automatic invite to the 2005 LG Action Sports Championships pro street event.
